Friday night william had a seizure and frqctured his skull. Which caused internal bleeding in his head.  He got out of the hospital either tonight or will tomorrow. If you can please pray for him. Im posting this because his sister asked me to tell hos friends.

Good movie, Fantastic fucking book.


I get why it took so long to get a movie made. It is just huge and epic. But its also very character driven with a great deal of eternal monologue. With a two hour movie, sacrifices have to be made. With a book like this I can't imagine both characters being done correctly. So the character of Sherrif Tessle ended up getting short changed. Instead of being multi layered character he was in the book. I think they did a great job of Rambo. Stallone was Rambo. Now he movie did not have nearly the dark hopeless ton the novel had. But fuck the movie that came out this year did not have the hopeless feeling the book had. First Blood the movie is hardly a romp in the park though. Its still pretty ark for 1982. Even moreso for 2008. With a returning veteran getting into a bloodbath with a local police department. Im not sure a 100% faithful adaptation is possible. But the movie was a respectble effort I feel.


As for the novel itself. So much to love about it. The lead characters in the book play both antagonist and protagonist at the same time. With the point of view shifting between them. The Sheriff was this great character. Not your sterotypical corrput small town sherriff. He is a good decent man who does his job to the best of his ability. He is very friendly each time he tries to escort Rambo out of town. Feeling its best to keep drifters out for the greater good. Refusing to give an inch or on the issue.

Rambo is harder to describe. Im not sure he is a good or decent man. His time as a POW and all the lives he has taken has broken him. He gets no pleasure from the killing. Thfighting thrills him. But thats because its all he knows and is good at.

The one thing I took away i how it could of been avoided if one person hadc just backed down a bit. Instead they both refused to back down n inch and things just got worse. The worse things got the harder it was to backdown.

Im really not doing it justice. Just a fantastic fucking book. Best book I have ever read and I've read every Ramona and Henry Huggins book.

Im in shock from the wholesale slaugter of Helper, the Clones and especially 24. I was sorta right in how things were resolved. I thought it was going to be a computer error from when Brock was not able to input the code in to his car in time. I guess Molotov took that as her chance to implement her plan. IIs good to see why OSI wanted Hunter dead.

Brock has went thru quite a journey starting in the Venturestein episode. It now makes sense why we never saw Brock do one of his rampages this year. Its hard to guess how things go with this show. But I think Brock is going after Hunter and Molotov. Brock isn't stupid. I think once he realised OSI did not take out the hit, who was behind it.

Monarch massacring the clones was pretty disturbing. Lesser shows would have taken something like the boys being clones and made it a running joke. Instead they showed restraint. So when this happened it hit a nerve.

I knew either 21 or 24 were going to die after the episode a few weeks back. Where they kept talking about being unkillable. But I thought it would be 21 because he was gloating more. Instead he got his come uppence in a very unexpected way.

Its hard to believe but I think Sgt Hatred is going to do a semi turn to a good guy.

One thing is sure I can't wait til season 4. Thankfully we won't need to wait two years.
